We are Jeneric’s third official B3nson Release, Animals are People Too has been described as their “animalian opus” by the Albany Indie Music Examiner. It was recorded between late winter and early summer of 2009 in the haunted Parlor of the farmhouse where they live. Songs like “The March of the Coyote” a “ragged, brassy fanfare, calling to mind Beirut’s poly-ethnic dabbling” (Metroland) coexist with tracks like “A Sister and Brother in the Kitchen Trying to Fly like Eagles by Jumping Off of Counters” filled with found sounds and clattering percussion, each orchestrated with heartfelt exuberance by Krans and O’Connor.
