The latest release from Tim Koch (Sgt Dunbar, We are Jeneric) under the moniker of The Hoborchestra is the most experimental to date. The path the record takes the listener on leads through a game of Tetris with catastrophe narrowly averted, a conversation with a disgruntled veteran, the prophetic child next door, a gentle spring rain, an autumn thunderstorm and a moment of silence.
Tim also orchestrates mostly instrumental cover versions of songs from some of his favorite fellow B3nson Collective members: We are Jeneric, Littlefoot and Sgt Dunbar. It’s a balanced mix of music and noise, as life is. The lax 3-take limit for most of the recordings lend an air of spontanaeity and humanity to the record that was self-recorded and produced in the basement of the Hobo House.
