Call for Entries: April 1st Friday
The Dovecote is hosting a show for April 1st Friday with Team Grease, Matt A., Littlefoot, and Rosary Beard (Matthew Loiacono and Hunter Sagehorn) playing musical sets , and would like to announce a call for entries for music themed/inspired art to hang on the gallery walls that will accompany the event.
Please send your information and art samples to dovecotearts@gmail.com by March 21st to be considered. There is no minimum or maximum number of entries. “Inspired by music” is open to your creative interpretation. Any mediums welcome – paintings, drawings, photographs, video installations, etc. Sculpture could be accommodated upon request and according to space.
Winners will be notified by March 23rd and art must be hung by March 31st.

Hoolahoop Bloo
March 1st Friday at the Dovecote features artist / musician Patrick Porter’s “Hoolahoop Bloo” solo show.
“Hoolahoop Bloo” features artworks inspired by Schenectady and Albany winter blue (frost windows, red lights on electrical poles, rust green train bridges, & more)
Gallery schedule:
Thursday – intimate opening, sneak peak gallery hours 6 – 8pm
Friday – Albany “1st Friday” hours 5-9pm, 8pm solo acoustic performance by Patrick Porter
Saturday – 6-8pm closing reception (last chance, goodbye)
