In giving credit where credit is due, I found out about The Crown Vandals from the blog Said the Gramophone (which seems momentarily to have been hacked by the forces of evil for posting about Hop Along, wierd). The Crown Vandals are two Tims who have taken residence in Montreal and make really interesting music. With a mix of bristling, jangling guitars a rad appreciation of noise and song writing skills that recall images of Neutral Milk Hotel and Grizzly bear at different times they create a unique sonic experience. …
