Sgt Dunbar & the Hobo Banned Website/Bandcamp/Facebook Albany’s premier indie folk collective, and one of the founding members of The B3nson Recording Co., started in 2004 as a recording project posting home recordings to sgtdunbar.com. Since then they have expanded into a live band with a reputation for energetic performances and layered orchestrations complimenting Alex Muro’s howled poetry. |

We are Jeneric Bandcamp/Facebook Many moons ago Eric met Jen in the elevator of a college dormitory. Now, more than a decade later their music is inspired by the old haunted farmhouse in which they live, the ghosts who occasionally serenade them to sleep, and the wild animals that roam their farmland. Their beautiful, exuberant, handcrafted bedroom folk pop has gained them adoration from music lovers and music critics nationally. |

BEWARE! the Other Head of Science Website/Bandcamp/Facebook Call it Electro-pop, Dance Punk, or Epic Space Rock, but whatever you do don’t call it boring. The Capital Region party starters have been going strong since 2007 churning out adrenaline-fueled tunes about zombies, rock feuds, cryptozoology, and other fantastic tales. With wild energy and relentless antics their live show is not to be missed! |

Barons In the Attic Website/Bandcamp/Facebook There is nothing quite like a Barons in the Attic show. Their uncanny ability to put a smile on everyone’s face while simultaneously banging out their jangly ‘folkternarock’ anthems is something of a legend in the making. These modern day minstrels believe in the powers of storytelling and festivity for bringing mirth to the lives of others. Not to mention causing one hell of a ruckus. Amen. |

Scientific Maps Website/Bandcamp/Facebook Main man Aaron Smith knows a thing or two about making hits. His charming, quirky take on classic garage pop has earned him praise as a songwriter far-and-wide. On record the songs have a classic aesthetic while still sounding fresh and relevant. The Scientific Maps live persona takes these songs up to the next level with a healthy dose of energy and humor that leaves the audience smiling every time. |

The Hoborchestra Bandcamp While it is mostly the recording project of Tim Koch, once in a blue moon when the planets are aligned just right The Hoborchestra comes alive and you’d be wise to make sure you’re there for it. The constantly evolving nature of the project, combined with Koch’s penchant for experimenting and collaboration make every release an exciting and memorable experience. |

Pingüinos Bandcamp Pingüinos is a mostly one man act, who’s sole member is Peter Mollica. Myfriendpeter was the old jam, but Pingüinos is the latest concoction ever since returning from South America ready to start something new. The majority of Pingüinos songs are written on the ukulele, the cuatro, accordion and acoustic guitar and intimately feature Mollica’s heartfelt lyrics about daily life. |

Littlefoot Bandcamp Littlefoot’s Seth Tillinghast is somewhat of an anomaly. An English teacher by day, hard rock drummer by night, and a huge fan of all things Nic Cage. But hand the man a ukulele and suddenly he becomes introspective. Well penned and thoughtful ruminations about personal relationships and relatable life experiences are the basis for Littlefoot’s charming and intimate music. |

The Boston Celtics The Boston Celtics have a mysterious past, playing infrequently and releasing music in bursts with years of downtime in between. Their debut B3nson release ‘Mont Pleasant’ is a sprawling journey, almost a concept album, with layered loops of electronics setting the backbone to Richard Nolan’s yearning vocals. |

Swamp Baby Website/Bandcamp/Facebook Swamp Baby is a band with deep roots in the independent music scene of NY State’s Capital Region. Longtime friends and collaborators, the four members of Swamp Baby have been playing together in this capacity since around 2007. The captivating and ethereal soundscapes conjured up by the band paint a beautiful backdrop to Nick Matulis’ disarmingly intimate, hushed lyrics. |

Neighborhood of Make Believe Neighborhood of Make Believe combines the songwriting of Alex Muro with members of Sgt Dunbar, BEWARE! and Barons in the Attic. While maintaining Muro’s signature philosophical musings, Neighborhood adds electric guitars and channels Bob Dylan in the best way possible. |

Desperately Obvious Bandcamp You wanted to hear what wasn’t on the bus ride in, or in your parent’s car. You wanted to hear the music that would make your hair stand straight up on end and the sounds that would send shivers down your spine. With everything that happens in life you will never forget the first time you had that feeling. Desperately Obvious was formed in a bedroom by a guy and a girl who met at a show. We are in the business of recreating the feeling of first times. |

Matt Ferguson Bandcamp Whether it’s the sound of blippy drum machines, dying synthesizers, or guitar noise Ferguson is all about sonic expression. There are some pop songs burried somewhere in the layered, often cluttered arrangements, but it’s best to just sit back and enjoy the ride. |

Nursing Home Discoveries Bandcamp Nursing Home Discoveries was started as an aborted one-off noise/performance piece for a VFW Hall in Saratoga Springs. Since then Kamran Parwana has used it as a creative outlet for everything from glitchy synth experiments to full blown pop-folk songs. His 2009 project in which he made every month of the year a personal RPM Challenge is still one of the most impressive creative undertakings by any B3nson artists. |

Blood Antony Wasilewski has an almost unhealthy obsession with low fidelity and cosmic ear splattering sounds. Almost. The first Blood release, the first and only B3nson album released on cassette, was well ahead of the current trend. And for good reason, the tape manipulations and warbles on the actual tracks make the listening experience all that more authentic. |

Black Licorice Ghosts Conjured up for the purpose of completing the RPM Challenge, the Black Licorice Ghosts is the songwriting of Jesse Horton (BEWARE!, Neighborhood of Make Believe, Man Scouts) with help from Dan Pardee (Sgt Dunbar) and Mary Elise Bolam. Sun, Moon, Sonic Boom is a well crafted collection of lo-fi bedroom folk. Keep your fingers crossed for another record! |
