A quick disclaimer before I get on with the review: I am not a Don DeLillo fan.  It’s not that I dislike his writing.  I simply haven’t read it.  I read Point Omega and was unimpressed.  Disappointed, even.  But that’s not exactly considered his masterpiece.  I just think it’s important everyone know that my opinions on this particular book are essentially unaffected by any previous feelings about the author, despite his numerous accolades and awards.
