Listen:Hear – The Eureka Birds

10 November 2009 One Comment

The Eureka Birds are from Baltimore, they play a sort of orchestral pop music that is very similar to our hometown Red Lions with a little less Rufus Wainwright and John Lennon and a little more of the Decemberists and Margot & the Nuclear So and So’s.

They are good friends of ours, and Grand Moff Louis used to play in their band when he lived in their neck of the woods. Their self titled debut album has been around for a while now but I was reminded of it recently when it came into WCDB and I got to review it and I was reminded how rad this record was.  The album is a collection of stories which range in expression from moving to exciting to ridiculous(ly awesome).
