Songs for the Sake of CDFI

The Capital District Federation of Ideas is a wonderful little space and group of people headquartered in a once abandoned little store front at 383.5 Madison Avenue. Recently in an effort to help CDFI raise money to continue being awesome, their good friend Harith from The Rev Records put on and recorded (with the help of Bryann Hamill) an excellent show of twelve local bands. Then he released record and named it after something scribbled on one of the tables at Point 5, Brontosaurus : Human (thats pronounced Brontosaurus is to Human , which if you were wondering is 8:1, I measured).

Not only was the show really fun and went off without a hitch, but the record turned out to be pretty awesome and a great representation of some of the music going on in Albany these days. With the permission of the Rev Records I have posted a couple of my favorite of the mp3s for your listening pleasure as well as some videos from the show.
